2022 : The special reverse design features an elaborate portrayal of the Royal Coat of Arms in honour of the remarkable reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The design is by Jody Clark who's former portrait of the late Queen featured on UK coinage 2015-2022.
2023 : Coronation sovereigns features the crowned portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings with the reverse returning to the traditional Pistrucci St George & Dragon design.
2024 : Sovereigns feature the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings and reverse featuring the traditional Benedetto Pistrucci St George & Dragon design.
2025 : Sovereigns feature the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings and reverse featuring the traditional Benedetto Pistrucci St George & Dragon design. The final 'rose' gold sovereign to be issued by the Royal Mint.
