Commemorating the 80th anniversary of one of the most iconic days in history. Code named D Day and commenced on June 6th 1944, the operation to free Europe from German occupation. This wonderful coin features the names of all 5 Normandy beeches used in the D Day landings, Utah, Omaha, Gold, Sword and Juno surrounding a depiction of allied troops leaving landing craft as they embark on the assault of the beech heads.
