2019 Strike on the Day '200th Anniversary, Birth of Queen Victoria' Sovereign - 24/05/2019
The 2019 "Struck on the Day" Sovereign was a gold coin issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria's birth, which fell on May 24, 2019. The limited edition coin features Jody Clark's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and a special royal cypher of Queen Victoria on the reverse, along with the classical Saint George and the Dragon design. Only 650 of these special matte-finish Sovereigns were minted on that specific day, each presented with a certificate of authenticity.
