The third release of the Music Legends series from the Royal Mint features the iconic 'David Bowie’. Sold out in minutes, following on from the highly sough after 1st coin in the series 'Queen', and second 'Sir Elton John'.
We have been able to secure just one piece of the highly sought after and 'sold out' David Bowie 'One Kilo' gold proof version. One of just 11 struck for worldwide distribution. The 1 Kilo version was originally due to be released on Bowie's birthday 8th January following on from the hugely successful and also sold out 1oz version. COVID delays meant the official release date became 23rd January 2021. The 2oz and above denominations design differs slightly from the previously issued coins, the lightning bolt appears laced with stardust to create a glitter effect.
