Released in HM Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee year this £5 Gold Proof Crown celebrates 70 years of dedicated charity and patronage. The reverse design by P. J. Lynch focuses on the honours and awards presented over the queens reign. These are the first UK coins to feature The Queen’s signature in a detail which unites the designs in the collection. Just 250 of these have been issued and the coin is presented with a booklet on Her Majesty’s role as the United Kingdom’s ‘Fountain of Honour’ along with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
