1848 Queen Victoria Shield Reverse Sovereign - NGC MS 62
Victoria (1837-1901), Sovereign, 1848, second larger young head left, raised W.W. on truncation, reverse crowned 'normal' shield in wreath, edge milled, (Marsh 31; S.3852C). Extremely fine, with underlying brilliance.
Reverse :The Ensigns Armorial within a plain shield and surmounted by a crown. A branch of laurel is shown on each side of the shield. At the bottom the Thistle, Rose and Shamrock are placed with a small flower stop each side.
